Issues in Criminal Law

Examine the hot-button issues in Canadian criminal law today, including bail reform, sentencing guidelines, safe supply and drug decriminalization, medical assistance in dying (MAID), sexual offences, and the youth justice system. Our goal is to analyze the facts behind these debates and understand the trajectory of government policy. Given the controversial nature of these subjects, students who are committed to respectful dialogue and opinions are invited. Course Leader: Donald Skogstad
