This course aims to help you develop your scientific literacy-the ability to evaluate scientific claims to see whether they are based on valid information and data or whether they are more akin to a scam, aka 'snake oil.' It has been developed from material used in a first-year university general studies course and, as such, is designed not just for those with a science background, but for all.
